The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is now open for applications from new Members and Fellows, for a limited time only

After the success of the last recruitment round, bringing membership to over 600, the Faculty of Clinical Informatics (FCI) is now open for applications for new Members and Fellows!

The Faculty of Clinical Informatics provides the invaluable support of a professional network that can help to build knowledge and skills and allow shared learning with peers. As an independent, multi-disciplinary organisation, the FCI excels in a range of activities to encourage and develop the practice of clinical informatics to improve patient outcomes in health and social care.

Informatics is especially critical during the current pandemic. Never before, has the need for information and digital solutions been so acutely realised by so many. At this time, more than ever, health and care professionals have much to gain from joining a network of colleagues for support and knowledge sharing.

“Joining the Faculty  has given me the opportunity to ensure that the information needs of my patients and my nursing colleagues are properly incorporated into the specialty which is Clinical Informatics.  At the same time, I have learnt more about how Clinical Informatics applies across the whole health and care spectrum.  The Faculty is welcoming and inclusive and is actively encouraging diversity." Maggie Lay, Clinical Informatics Lead at NHS South, Central and West

FCI members benefit from a wide range of opportunities, from career development support (through mentoring and support with revalidation and appraisals) to the chance to join Faculty special interest groups (including clinical safety, AI and early careers groups), as well as access to exclusive Faculty events, including 2 annual conferences, and regular webinars). Members are also kept up to date with the latest ideas and advances in clinical informatics through monthly e-newsletters.
